Group Description More
All Saints' Choir The parish choir of over twenty members sings for Sunday and festival liturgies, as well as the annual Advent Evensong.  During the choir season (September though mid-June) the choir rehearses on Thursday evenings and at 9:15am just before the Sunday 10am service. More
Newcomers Ministry The Newcomers’ Ministry welcomes guests on Sunday mornings, and helps regular visitors and new members become incorporated into the life of the church on Sundays and other days of the week. We do this by conversation, by making connections, by following up on individuals’ interests and questions, and by publishing materials of use to visitors and new members. Contact: John Sack More
Hospitality & Festivals Hospitality arranges for coffee and snacks after each of the Sunday services – for which volunteers are always welcome! Communications Help us tell our story inside and out!  So much happens at All Saints, but it takes the Communications Ministry to get the word out in all the different ways we can -- newspapers, print brochures, email, web, audio/podcast, slideshows, announcements at the service, etc.!  We need writers, interviewers and reporters, people who like to do layout, photograpers, editors, proof readers, folders, copiers, mailers -- even web workers!  If you have any of these skills please contact Mattie Scott. Library Committee The All Saints’ Library is a cataloged collection of more than 2000 books, hymnals, scores, recordings, and videos covering a range of subjects with particular emphasis on Anglicanism, theology, church history, and comparative religion. An extensive reference collection includes the Anchor Bible dictionaries. The library supports the church’s programs in adult education and children’s ministry as well as Bible study and book groups. It also serves as a resource for both clergy and lay research. More

Worship Working Group The All Saints’ Worship Working Group meets twice monthly to help plan and facilitiate worship at All Saints. One Sunday per month, usually the fourth, has been set aside for innovation. Practical Care Let’s face it: accidents seem to happen when we’re least prepared, and many of us live alone. Every once in awhile we find ourselves temporarily unable to drive, cook, or do normal chores and errands. The All Saints’ Practical Support Team is here to help: Prepare and deliver meals Drive you to and from doctors’ appointments and church services Pick up and deliver groceries Help with household chores. Acolytes Youth from grades 3 to 12 are invited and encouraged to serve as acolytes during the 10am Sunday Eucharist, and for special services.  Contact: Susan Bailey More
Lay Assistants (Eucharistic Ministers) Lay Assistants serve at both the 8am and 10am services, assisting clergy, and  administering the chalice (wine) at Communion.    If you are interested in exploring this ministry, contact: Arlene Leslie. More
Altar Guild The Altar Guild prepares the altar and church each week for celebrating the Eucharist, in addition to setting up for baptisms and other special services throughout the year.  Guild members are also responsible for arranging the altar and chapel flowers, caring for the linens, polishing the brasses and silver, and assuring that the vestments and banners are ready for each season. More
Children's Ministry All Saints’ is a congregation in which all ages and generations are valued and valuable partners in every facet of our life—worship, learning, service, friendship and celebration.    Most of our life is intergenerational, as we worship, learn, serve, celebrate, welcome, and grow in faith together.  For more information contact Barbara Sawka or Marianne Witscher, and see our Children and Youth page. Healing Prayer Team The Healing Team ministry prays with individuals upon request. For example, lay healing ministers can meet with an individual after a Sunday service to offer individual prayers and laying-on of hands. Contact: the All Saints office or Marilyn Tinsley, or 650-868-7044 More

Buildings & Grounds The Buildings and Grounds committee oversees long-term maintenance and does the groundwork for major and minor improvement projects for AS buildings.  This group reports to and provides recommendations to the Vestry.   Contact: Tom Wootton or Hilbert Morales More
Facilities Committee The Facilities Committee is responsible for the development of the church campus and buildings as a Downtown Community Center, including the promotion and  rental of facilities. Contact: Lauren Bonomi More
Grounds Beautification Committee All Saints’ grounds are maintained by a professional gardener and the Grounds Beautification Committee.  Donations pay the gardener, and volunteers help plant and maintain beds, plus Memorial Garden plantings, plant and maintain beds by the Hamilton sign, and weed the Meditation Garden. Office Volunteers Team We are looking for a few more reliable volunteers to help in the Office as receptionists and assistants to Susan Reaves, Parish Administrator.  Special training will be provided; telephone and general office skills or experience are helpful. Contact: Susan Reaves More
Counters After each Sunday service, cash and envelopes from the collection plate are deposited in the bank. On Monday morning two or three volunteer counters meet for about 90 minutes at the church office to sort and record the previous week’s income for the Parish Administrator. If you can volunteer one or more Monday mornings a month, please contact Barbara Sawka.   More
Personnel Committee The Personnel Committee ensures that All Saints' church and its staff work together and support each other in the best possible way.  The Committee assists the Rector in overseeing and administering all of the All Saints' personnel policies in the 2011 Manual of Personnel Policies, Procedures and Practices. With the Rector, the Committee helps to write and revise job descriptions and, with the Treasurer, determines salary guidelines for new personnel. The Committee administers annual reviews of all non-clergy personnel, according to the guidelines of the Personnel Policy.  More
Finance Committee The Finance Committee is a committee of the vestry.  It ensures that the has accurate information and understanding of All Saints' financial condition.  It reports at least quarterly to the vestry presenting recommendations.  It prepares the annual budget.  It presents annual information to the membership.  It also oversees or recommends investments of other funds (e.g, Endowment and Housing).  The committee meets monthly, prior to each monthly vestry meeting.  The committee is chaired by the Treasurer, who typically makes the reports to the vestry and to More
Endowment Subcommittee The Endowment Subcommittee is a committee of the Finance Committee.  It administers the Endowment Fund, which enabled the church to more completely fulfill its mission than would be possible through annual pledge income alone.   The committee has three members, plus the Treasurer, Rector and Senior Warden as ex-officio members.  More
