Book groups meet weekly for 4-6 weeks at various times during the year to read, study and discuss specific works that help us understand our faith, community and each other. Groups are small -- about 5-10 people -– and meet weekly on a schedule the group decides. Our rector provides a choice of books, and the group chooses one of them to read. Recent books include Phyllis Tickle’s “The Great Emergence” and Diana Butler Bass’ “A People’s View of Christianity”. For information about groups current or upcoming, contact: The Rev. Sherridan Harrison
Fall Book Study Groups: New Book Study groups will begin the week of September 26. Groups will meet, according to the decision of those who register, on
- Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 or 7:00-8:30
- Tuesday or Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:30.
We will read A New Kind of Christianity: 10 Questions That Are Transforming the Faith, by Brian McLaren.
Brian will challenge us, sometimes rile us—and may surprise us—as we struggle, play and wonder with bedrock questions about scripture, what God is like, what exactly is Jesus’ gospel, where and what is church, and more.
Register via the green Contact button, or the grey Contact Us button at the top right of the Book Group page. Let us know which day and time you want to register for.
